Spicy Italian Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

Spicy Italian Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms with Truffle Balsamic, Sun-dried Tomatoes, Parmesan, and Caramelized Onions 12 Mushrooms (2 Servings or Appetizer)

Ingredients

1 Red Onion, sliced

2 oz Chianti Classico Extra Virgin Olive Oil

6 oz Spicy Italian Sausage, ground

4 oz Parmesan, grated

3 oz Sun-dried Tomato, diced

2 tsp Fine Sea Salt

1 tsp Black Pepper

12 Baby Bella Mushrooms, wholeDrizzle of Truffle Balsamic

Method

1. Slice the red onions, caramelize in a large skillet with the olive oil

2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

3. In a mixing bowl; mix the sausage, sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan, caramelized onions,

salt, and pepper

4. Clean the mushrooms and pop out the stem

5. Fill the mushrooms with the filling

To Cook:

Bake for 12 minutes or until the mushrooms are soft and the sausage is golden brown

To Finish:

Top with grated Parmesan and a drizzle of the Truffle Balsamic

Serve as an appetizer as is or as an entrée over an arugula salad
